well, it's the fish person. How is the doorman thing coming along? (Oops, I am not allowed to mention Mods here) Anyway, I did that. I even set English to 0. Where is this field set? Strange.. I have the box checked to hide memberlist and that does not work. I am sensing a pattern here. Any Ideas?

Doorman: sooon.......... Langauge: download the file manually via ftp and fix it. I am not sure it will help as you are the 2nd person to mention the same problem within 2 days. If it doesn't then we know.. that we have a bug. Would therfore appreciate it if you could give us a feedback. The file is at: cgi-bin/lang/langauges.dat open it in a text editor and remove the last 4-5 lines, there should one.. or no extra lines at all on that file! you can also add your langauge there manually, just follow the pattern you see at the original file. I got the Spanish.lng to work by using another Spanish.lng file. I think there is a bug (A little one mind you) in the First file I tried. ![]() I checked for every ' [ } " and ; but, I did not see anything out of wack My generic signature... |

To check a language file, I would recommend you to use "the double or naffin technique" (developed by fish & co 2003 ).What you do is this: Copy paste in half of a new language file into a functional language file (any language), and upload, if it works, copy paste half of what left... and so on until you start getting the errors. a missing ";" or a wrong " somewhere are most typical, but it worths checking at the begining usually to check if the admin and gusts were translated... But since it works anyhow.. you dont need to :) (Damian Conway from the book Perl Best Practices). [*]LANGUAGE FILES (and language support) -> http://www.mlapp.org...
