We have just fully integrated skype in the script for testing it, hopfully it will be released within the next coming release.

What it does?
It fully integrated 8 skype functions (6 for normal users and 2 more for admins) in which the users in the site can exchange not just chats, talks and voicemails but also exchange files by a simple click on your webapp site!  It also lets users add users by a simple click and view thier profiles!

What are the admins functions?  Admin can in addition to the other 6 actions also have an admin conference by a simple click as well as send a file to all other admins again by one click!


Try it now by clicking on the icon next to my signature or on the skype icon in the forum bar under.

Dont forget to add your own skype username!  go to "my profile" and do it there. You may also add it to your signature or here in the forum by using this shortcut

What if the website users [still!] dont have skype installed?  No problem!  We have also added a skype-checker, thus if they dont have skype installed in thier PC they would be redirected automaticly with a popup to skype d/l site!

Not to be a party-pooper -- but the Skype site says free calling ends at the end of the year.

What then?

But I suppose folks who still use Skype once the free period is over will appreciate the feature being in WA. Just wondering....

Do you mean to normal phone calls to a given number or chat calls?  If its chat calls then it is a great surprise, can you paste the link to where you read it? (couldn't find anything at the skype.com page).

Ok I found it, its about not providing anymore free REGULAR calls...  We are not providing any free regular calls services.. the party continues!

thought that was a bit ominous... since skype always claimed "free calls" (between members) forever....

Some services would certanly not be free, but I am in great doubt the chat/talk will ever cost anything as there is a big competition out there. Besides this is the way skype expands by giving a chance to people using thier free online phone (to skype users) and later on implementing an ip phone home. So should they restrict that function to pay users only they will lose potential customers.

It is a promotion they have for North America.

Until the end of THIS YEAR you can call through skype to any regular phone line for FREE!!!

Of course this is for North American users only...
Others with Skype around the world probably wont even see the "Free Calls" info to start....

I have used it to call my cell phone as a test...  not to mention some guys I know in Israel call my lines using Skype sometimes...  seeing as its cheap that way :)

Skype rules, and in the future will be the Phone Company!!!
They arent going anywhere with Ebay backing them now...  Its just going to get better!!!!

And calling from skype to skype will always be free!!!!  They wouldnt dare make it any other way as the competition since skype came out is growing and growing!!!!
