When using the forums, sometimes we find the need to delete a thread from a post.

If you are modifying the post you will notice there is a "Delete" button there as well.

If you click the "Delete" button you will get an error if the message post is blank...  Its like its checking to make sure you arent posting an empty forum post, but it deletes anyways.

not a major issue, just something funny with the delete in modify button.

OK, the Delete button when modifying a forum post does NOT work to delete the post.

It only worked when I deleted the message text and hit delete, it would then give me an error message and then the post was deleted.

Damn...  so that button is not working at all right now as far as I can tell.

maybe the problem is having the delete button there in the first place? (while in edit mode)...
isn't it (or shouldn't it be) a basic princple that u cant delete a file while it's being worked on?

Yes, it needs to be removed and has for years. Anyone care to do the honors?

This is fixed and the delete button works now, not here, but in the beta. Also no more data loss when someone attempts to blank the message. Fix was to change the language tag is was checking for in forum_admin.pl and to move Ted's missing subject and message check and error fix up to the top of the subs modifymessage2 and modifystickymessage2.

I've only got a few more bugs left in that beta.
