Well, from my understandings...

It uses WebKit, which means it rips off from Safari.
As well as taking code from Firefox, which means it rips off from
Mozilla.

So we will see how this Safari/Firefox Clone will do...

While I am using it right now... and I like its speed so far on
this slow PC I am working on...  I will have to see how good it
is in time...

As for WebAPP Issues...  nothing so far...  but then again it
uses code from 2 standards based browsers which means it should
work fine it it works in any of the other 2.

Just another thing to take market share away from Microsoft,
which I look forward to seeing go down the drain.

There doesn't seem to be a Linux version!?!?!? Shame on Google!

I have read two reports on Google Chrome in the last 24 hours and from what I can gather, they have shot an arrow into the air and missed! Java/Javascript rich sites don't render correctly for example.

Nice try Google, best stick with search engines in future though!

So we will see how this Safari/Firefox Clone will do...
Saffox? Firari? lol

I started playing with it Friday. As a matter of fact I am using it right at this
moment. So far, I like what I see... but I have not done much with it yet.

I did find one site today that Chrome would not render correctly. But, this site
screws up in any browser except IE. They all-but insist that you use IE for that site
(If they didn't, I would drop IE in a heartbeat.)

Well...  for what it is, I actually dont mind it...

They did exactly what was needed on this browser...

Its cleaner than most...  Runs faster then most...

The buzz now is all about the Javascript speed...  claims it will be the big future Flash Killer are in discussion...

All in all I like it for its zippyness.  On old hardware the browser shows its speed enhancements, so far...

Remember one thing...  Its just a Beta/Test release...

Floyd, your Linux dream should come true along with a Mac version as well I am sure in time...  its the best move to have a consistent browsing experience across all 3 platforms...  which is why I thought Apple should have release3d a Safari for Linux (even though webkit is based on khtml which was linux based to start)...  Its called consistency...

Name me 1 browser that has a Win/Mac/Linux Version that is NOT Opera :) (which I cant stand).

My final review...  While it is a rip of code, which means the source code is also available for others to improve on...  it IS a good step in the right direction.
Also, due to its layout it would make an easy update for touchpad useage.  Speed is great on older hardware which is all I really care about right now...  useabilty.

Well, I have been using the google Chrome for quite a while now and noticed how fast it was fairing compared to other browsers like the firefox and opera. I believe it has been boasting of its hardware acceleration which really helps load heavy web sites faster.  I do not like its settings interface however which I think is too cramped. It feels like they stuffed everything into one small dialog box.

Chrome sucks! It's yet another browser wanting to be like Safari.
