Web-App ver 1
I put all cgi and html in root.

ran install from index.html.
all went well. final screen asks for email and password for admin access.
I entered it and went to log in and all I get is the index page in root.

The graphics are missing and there are huge blank spots in the middle of the screen.
How do I fis this please?

Never heard of this issue before. Have you taken a look at the install log?
It looks like issue with wrong paths.

Dud, I get the same issue because my ISP dont let me chanche the folder structure. In my log install I saw the installation setup could not change the folder ./images_ to ./images. I copied all the contents in /images_ to /image manually and changed the scripts path: The default scripts try to run /usr/bin/perl but my ISP uses /usr/local/bin/perl and WebApp is running nice right now.

The path to the images file needs to be changed. I had same issue and realized that the script installed a new images folder because I already had an images folder there. The script installed a new one with an underscore after it like this images_. So you need to take those images out of that new folder, and move them, or change the path to the folder with these images in them. Once the images can be called up, then the links will work.

After some Years, I decided to download the latest version.
After the second installation, the first time, I was was the Nut, I removed everything and started again.

Everything installed, starting up, exept for unwanted Add-Banners, no images, no background, no header, no footer. NOT ONE ADMIN LINK, just ALT-Descriptions all over.

An Impression like out of the early 1990's...

Checking the stuff, I found

script files with ending .pl
image files with ending  .gif
html files with ending  .html

all located in the html subsection.

Most servers use cgi-bin to keep and handle .pl-files.
Modern secure servers do usually NOT allow xxx.html and xxx.gif to be called from cgi-bin-sections.

The same, in contrary, is fact for HTML Sections and their subsections. PL-scripts should not be placed in general HTML Sections. I have downloaded many great shoftware-packages this way..., wrong chmode!

I realize, the web-app software has gotten to grow into a rather huge Package. This makes Updates rather complicated for programmers not familiar with this Software. Still, Security- and Function-related Adjustments like mentioned above would enable users to get this software to function on todays Servers.

Excuse my english, I am not englishspeaking origin...

The CGI-bin and HTML content can easily be seperated upon install using advanced install and moving the files to their needed locations before unzipping them in the install application....

Not sure what the issues you are having are...  I will run a fresh install right now to see if your issues show up...
