 Windows IE8 and Firefox  Display Issues
 Posted on: 06/01/10 at 08:44:04

What is up with using the latest Windows Browser IE8? Why are the dreaded red image X boxes showing up in IE8, along with other issues?

Is it my settings in IE8?

edit: I get blank image ?'s using my Safari for Windows browser.

I loved the idea of using WebAPP, but am starting to wonder if it is going to be more work than I want to do. I love the idea of not using sql. I love not using PHP. I do not love having to test everything out of the box, before I make a modification, on lots of browsers.

Or do I have default settings on those silly browsers that are blocking code?

The problem is with your image path setting.

My, image path settings? Did I do something wrong when I extracted the files and uploaded them?

edit: yes I did. {blush}

Okay, issue solved. Here is what happened. When I uploaded the WebAPP files and folders, I uploaded them into an existing domain name account that already had an { images } folder. When WebAPP was uploaded, WebAPP did not overwrite the images folder, it created another images folder named: { images_ } = image, with an underscore { _ }. So I ended up with two images folders, one with an underscore. I corrected the situation by removing the older images folder and removing the underscore from the WebAPP images folder.

I'm using a webhosting service that has a WebShell control panel.

thank you AndyTri for your reply. I had been up for a few days and was not clear headed enough to look for the obvious culprit.
