Dimb Question? - Front page layout
 Posted on: 08/02/09 at 09:25:06

Hey all,

I've possibly got a quite dumb question.

I am currently building a site using WebApp CMS 1.0 using a virtual machine (building it here before 'going live').  I haven't installed all of the updates yet - I'll do that once it goes live because of a quirk on the virtual machine's FTP server that stuffs around with file ownership and file permissions that causes updating to fail.

I know that setting the number of columns on the main page is to be included in v2.0 (and may be available once I update ... if they are, please slap me across the face).  However, if I want to set up the main news page to be two column (ie. remove the right hand blocks column) is this possible?

My generic signature...

This is more of a Themes issue...

You just need to modify the theme to a 2 column version...

Have to look around for a working theme...  but I believe the "blog" theme works with 1.0 or at least a beta version did...

It only has 2 columns...  and is clean and light.

You can remove the right hand column in admin, just remove the right hand side blocks!

Removing the blocks won't completely remove the right hand column.
If the blog theme doesn't work with v1, let me know and I'll update
it.
